    Cinco de Mayo fights

So, with the possibility of the May-Pac fight happening on Cinco de Mayo, I thought I'd ask this question. I hear that May 5th is the date for the biggest fights in boxing or something. Only fight I can remember is Mayweather vs De la Hoya. What other big fights happened on Cinco de Mayo?

    De La Hoya vs Forbes
    Pacquiao vs Mosley
    Mayweather vs Mosley
    Pacquiao vs Marquez

Not necessarily the same day but the same week or weekend.

Keep in mind Cinco De Mayo doesnt always fall on a Saturday, so its dates around it also. Like Manny vs Mosley, Manny vs Hatton, and Manny vs Marquez 1.

Mayweather vs Mosley, Mayweather vs DLH.

      edit: said above me.

The best fight to take place during that date range wasnt even a big PPV fight.

        It was Corrales-Castillo 1.

A shame that so many mainstream fans didnt see that.

may 5 is De la hoya's fight day, he used it to get all his mexicans fans to pay for his fights, now all these other fighters are using it to get mexicans to buy their ppv too..

Before Oscar, King used to put Chavez on PPVs during the weekends close to the Mexican holidays in May and September.

They've just become big dates for boxing. Having a Mexican or Mexican-American fighter helps the promotion, but Mayweather and Pacquiao sell a lot against anyone nowadays.
