Anyone have Experience with Ticket Scalpers?

So I'm gonna be in Vegas next week, and I was hoping to score some tickets to Pac-JMM on fight night. Anyone ever bought tix from scalpers on the day of a fight outside the arena? I am guessing there is a risk with fake tickets and my counter to that was to bring the scalper to the box office to confirm the validity of the tickets but then I thought maybe they wouldn't comply because honestly I'm not even sure it's legal to scalp.

If not, it's fine as I will probably just go closed circuit-- how much do closed circuit tix usually go for?

It would be nice to get some decent priced tickets to the actual event though.

    Thanks in advance.

ive dealt with scalpers plenty of times, but only once in vegas for mayweather-mosley, luckily all the tix have been authentic. you can usually tell when a tix is fake, it happened on ebay once for me. but im sure you will be fine.

I wish it was legal to shoot each ticket scalper in the head. They are the lowest forms of life on Earth

I disagree. I got 2 front row seats for a Showtime card once for $50. I'm pretty sure they were going for about $100 a peice. Granted I dont believe the guy was your typical scalper. It wouldnt hurt to try.

Too bad the days of driving to Vegas saturday, and getting tickets at the box office for Manny fights, are long gone.

Thanks guys. What kind of prices do you think I could get for a fight of this magnitude for nosebleed/mid level seats? I'm guessing no lower than $300 a pop, but I'm willing to bite the bullet.

Was just reading on Nevada laws and I guess it's illegal to sell tix for more than face value, and even read in some cases it's not legal at all, or it's legal as long as you're not actually on the property. Conflicting information, I dunno. That's all for SELLING though, does anyone know is BUYING legal?

closed circuit for the fight should be $50-60, but it's not going to be shown at the MGM this time for some reason. you can see it at most other mgm owned properties tho, i think most people will be at mandalay bay for closed circuit.

i think the face value of nose bleed for this fight was $200, where it's typically $150 for floyd/manny fights at the mgm.

ill preface by saying... this fight is a rivalry, mexico/philipnes, pac has devoted fans, and the Latin Grammies is also being held in Vegas that weekend - there will be people there with $$$ to blow.

anyway to continue... id say youd be prob quoted $350-400 from the scalpers on friday and saturday but ALWAYS negotiate on your end, because its during the negotiating time you are deciding in your head if you feel comfortable dealing with that person and looking ur best to make sure the ticket is on the up and up. ive done it before and my dad does it all the time still and never been stuck with a bad ticket. bad fights maybe lol. a couple of times we have bought tickets off a random ex-boxer or guy from a boxers camp who were given extras but want to make cash on the side. i got $300 off each ticket once buying off an ex boxer.

and finally.... the prices will change as the fight gets closer saturday night, once the card starts you will probably be able to buy at a nice discount IF you can find someone who still has some - its way riskier, especially since there is no closed circuit at the mgm and youd have to leave to the mandalay to watch the closed circuit. its buy at your own risk. but i never have gotten a bad ticket or felt ripped off because i already told myself how much i was willing to spend and tried to get as close to that number as possible. if not, i just walk away and go to the closed circuit.

like some else said tho the days of just showing up to see manny and not having to camp out to buy tickets are long gone!!! lol
