I believe he has taken enough time off to come back (as he's decided), but he deserves a shot to see if he wants to fight. It's not like he's taken a lot of punishment in his career and that he has a brawling style. They're taking a soft touch in his comeback, it's not like they're going to put him with another knockout puncher in his return.

Let's see what happens. However, I doubt that he'll surpass the role of a serious contender within his next run. At best, he wins another belt and defends once or twice before retiring again.
    good post brother

Taylor was a beast not too long ago; An undisputed champion beast at that.

Noone can deny that his last two fights looked very dangerous for him when he got KOd but he definitly deserves an oppertunity to reign again (or atleast prove he can stand his ground).
Right now I know most people will say he has very little to no chance at comming close to reigning again, but I really hope he can. Seeing a top-notch Taylor vs. the top dog SMWs whom he should have already been in with would be really exciting.

Good news for me... I love Taylor. He's a great fighter and ducked no one. It's good he's starting slow because I couldn't think of any other fighter who fought only the best competition for soo many years straight at a young age, so competing at the top for so long almost guaranteed some losses. He's ready.

interesting card i reckon cloud upsets erdei tbh, dont know about rigondeaux but taylors gotta really question himself if he can compete anymore in the ring or even in the top class lets just remember after the pavlik fights, froch fight and abraham the question is if he is mentally up for it.

whether or not he can perform and beat opponents either then being laid out on the canvas at the end of the fight and whether or not his camp will try something new for him or if he gets a new trainer with different techniques and game plans lets not forget jermain said he wanted time off and 2 years is more than long enough to bring some rust on fighters

Yea yea yea, Taylor got knocked out a few times, but it's not like he has a glass jaw. Look who he was fighting. Pavlick, monster puncher. Lacy, monster puncher that couldnt land on Taylor. Abraham, monster puncher. Froch, monster puncher. Name one other fighter who has faced that many opponents with one punch power in that short of a span. Taylor always conducted himself with class and respect, and until he fought Hopkins was always an exciting fighter to watch. I will be pulling for him and wish him the best.

happy to see taylor come back... i liked taylor, eventhough i thought he got lucky against bernard.....

taylor's quick, and he's a technically sound boxer.... his main problem was stamina.... he tended to fade late on, and that in turn lead to his ko losses....

if he get's his conditioning right, and can go strong for 12 rounds... he can be a match for most fighters out there.... as long as he takes his time coming back.... have a couple of fights on friday night fights.... show some of the skill he was known for....

Taylor moving back down to 160 is a good move imo as long as he can still make the weight safely.

The competition is weaker at 160 than 168 so Taylor should be able to have some success if he can return to good form.

Didn't Taylor make enough money already? What is he playing at? He's going to end up with brain damage.
