sorry but NOBODY boxing today can stack up against the guys from back in the day.

Pacquiao cherry picks his opponents just like everybody else today. the best don't fight the best anymore because nobody wants to lose.

and about Duran, Duran is 1cm taller than Pacquiao but took on real 154 champ Tommy Hearns. yeah Duran lost but he had the balls to do it. Pac takes on garbage Margarito at 150 for a gift title. the two don't compare at all.

absolutley true, Duran did get embarrassed by Hearns caught cold, however shortly after Hearns was ko'd by IRAN BARKLEy, so Barkley became the middleweight champ, then Duran against all odds a heavy underdog then ko's Barkley,Sugar Ray Leanard went up to Duran afterwards ringside and congradulated Duran told Him"your the greatest" ,Duran took many zeros including leonards, some of his most known wins were late only becuase of the era ,but as a lightweight he was almost unbeatable,he was deemed unbeatable at lightweight, but hes best known for his welter and middleweight runs.Donaire is a fine boxer I think he may beat gamboa, pac is a great little brawler, but I agree nobody now compares to those guys, would a Duran or Hagler or any of those dudes run away from a Martinez??? hell naw! theyd a said bring it on!!!! fighters today are soft, theyre too handled not enough balls.too much cherry picking hell even the delahoya era was better he fought trinidad and dudes in their prime.thats hard to come by nowadays

What manny is doing with all these cheap fights is partially because his fans enable this non-sense, its like if sugar ray leonard or tommy hearns at welterweight prime ,decided to fight a 38-year old liteweight Ray' boom boom' Mancini can you imagine the outcry if that happened then???its just crazy what these guys get away with now.crazy.

Well Mr. Pacquiao, how can you say that when we have your advisor in a video that bears the logo MP8.PH, saying that he hopes the added weight would slow Marquez down.

It's obvious that the Pacquiao camp is in the business of misleading people. He thinks that we are not paying attention. He thinks we are too blinded by the allure to notice the contradictions. It's just like Leonard Ellerbe stated. Bob Arum says many things that would mislead someone who is not paying attention. Mayweather was tagged and hurt by Mosley, yet he hung in there and turned the fight around 100%. Bob Arum prior to this, had stated that Floyd would not be respected because he hasn't had to dig down and fight his way out of trouble. In Floyd's fight with Mosley, he did just that. Yet Bob Arum said that it was a shame to watch a legendary fighter get old all of a sudden.

It had nothing to do with the fact that Floyd beat Mosley by hitting him with some of the cleanest shots known to man. It was because Mosley had grown old in the ring over the course of a 12 round fight. 1 year later, Mosley's the most competitive fighter in which one other choice, was Juan Manuel Marquez.

Team Pacquiao is into misleading people. There will be no reason good enough to explain away the fight not happening. They're pretty much painted into a corner. This whole situation has my undivided attention. Nobody will be

              marquez vs pacquiao

I think if marquez put on the weight properly then it will be a somewhat competative fight. Pacquiao has kept his speed since moving up so marquez better be in shape not like he was against mayweather. My prediction is it will be competatove at the beginnning but pacmans speed will over power marquez as the fight goes on.

I hope I'm facing the same Marquez that fought Mayweather....

If he actually wanted a similar Marquez that he fought a few years ago, this fight wouldn't be at WW.

Exactly...his fans don't want real and dangerous fights, they just want glorified exhibitions so they can talk about how awesome he is and how he is the greatest...the diehard Pacquiao fanbase is 100% enabling this garbage we are seeing now. They would buy a PPV of Manny fighting a heavy bag hanging from the ceiling of the MGM Grand and spend all day on here talking about how Mayweather ducked the heavybag because he is scared.
