    Hamed hails Hatton

Featherweight great Naseem Hamed has heaped praise upon newly-crowned IBF light-welterweight champion Ricky Hatton ahead of 'The Hitman's pending unification battle with WBA titleholder Carlos Maussa on November 26th. The eagerly-anticipated IBF/WBA title dual takes place in Hamed's hometown of Sheffield, and the Steel City showman can't wait to see Manchester's Hatton add another prestigious world title to the IBF version he won in June when dethroning Kostya Tszyu..

"Ricky Hatton is a great fighter,"...........

I watched Naz at 106lbs when he got to the final of the 1989 European Cup in Manchester, his hands were quicker than anything I've seen!

Hard to believe how popular this guy still is among boxing fans/boxing press, he hasn't fought since 2002!!!!

Let the "he's coming back at cruiser" and "he can be champ again!" threads commence...

              Ugh.

Maybe all this humble talk now, proves that it wasn't him being a ****y bastard in his career... More that he was just doing it for the show!
