  • Comments Thread For: Photos: Canelo Working on Quick Movements For Cintron

Although most of the Mexicans were celebrated the 'Day of The Dead,' Saul "Canelo" Alvarez did not stop training because in three weeks he defends his WBC 154-pound title against Puerto Rican puncher Kermit Cintron, taking place on the 26th of November at the Expo Bancomer Santa Fe, located in Mexico City. Alvarez was training this week in the capital of Jalisco.

Maybe he can get Kermit to jump out of the ring again.

          Hahahah...beat me to it.

Seriously though, Canelo needs to not get careless at least for the first few rounds. I think Cintron is a little like Zab Judah in big fights. He'll be pretty dangerous as long as he thinks he's winning. But after after a few rounds, if he gets a little tired and sees that his man is still there and comin' for him, he'll fold mentally and go into survival mode.

            Canelo's definition of quick movement:

            "One step forward."

            "I'm quick."

Seriously, I'm not looking for any quick movement from Canelo he is like a block of stone inching forward every time he fights. And that is a poor comparison because at least a stone gives off a strong presence but Canelo is all trickery.

His only real work is beating a midget and he can't even knock that one out since he doesn't have a referee to assist him.

              cintron is completely shot

              he just doesnt look right

he barely beat antwone smith, too

if he takes any risks he will get stopped

i think canelo will touch him up and get him to start ducking his head again and it will be a matter of time until the ref comes in with a quick stoppage

completely shot? people use that term way too often and out of context....

even if cintron is not at his best right now, he is still the biggest test of canelo's career.....
