I have no doubts that Izzy is or can be competitive despite the abuse his body underwent in that brutal trilogy. But I'm concerned with the scaring over his eyes he suffered as a result. They opened up like wet toilet paper in the 4th fight.

He looked decent in IV, until the eyes gashed open at the first hint of meaningful contact.

Unless the tissue has healed to something resembling durability, I don't want to see him fight again. Can't fight at the top level with a built-in deficit like that.

He should remain the analyst he now is and make a few $$ but he'll box a few taxi drivers and win and if he gets a bigger match, lose...he won't go far w/his eyes which are the same...

This guy could end up seriously damaged if he continues with the brutal wars, he should hang them up for good.

I seriously think he should retire. I really like him as a fighter, but that trilogy between him and Rafa finished them BOTH! They are not the same fighters they were before that 3rd fight in particular. Neither has looked as good since. They should both retire. I don't want to see anything happen to either of them.

His face can't take the damage anymore, similar what is happening to Margo.

I hope not, he is a good guy and a great fighter
