boxing is his only source of income, he won't be able to fight for 8 months thanks to the ginger, he better pay for his medical bills and try to settle this out of court. Idiot kid is trying to have his brother take the blame like a little b1tch
I guess that wasn't enough, he found a new source of income.
Solis is taking the wrong angle here. If he really wants to make money he should tell Saul to pay for his medical bills and agree to fight him in the ring in exchange for dropping the lawsuits. Win or lose he would make more money fighting Saul than suing him and there's no way Saul could refuse cause he'd look like a b*tch. Every one in Mexico would watch this fight and Solis would come out looking better losing a licensed fight rather than ratting out and winning a lawsuit. I know they are many weight classes apart but it would be the kind of grudge match people would pay to see. This is front page news in Mexico right now so the fight would sell itself. Something just doesn't feel right about a boxer suing another boxer for beating him up in a street fight. It's not like the rest of us have weight classes when we get into it on the street.
You can't possibly be serious. Take a second and think about your proposal from Solis' perspective. If what he says is true, he got assaulted and badly injured by the wrongful conduct of a much bigger, stronger guy, and a guy equally well-trained in fighting. His career has been damaged at the very least and very well may never recover. So your solution to make things better for himself would be to try and fight the bully? That may sometimes be good advice in real life, where most bullies are all talk, but you're talking about one of the best 2 or 3 fighters at 154, who could probably compete nearly as well at 160, fighting a guy about 50 pounds lighter. There's no way that ends without Solis getting knocked out and brutalized, or running for his life. Neither scenario gives him any chance of satisfaction.
Imagine you were falsely accused of a capital crime. The solution to that problem that most closely matches your suggestion for solving Solis' problem would be to let yourself get convicted, not appeal, wait until the guards come to take you for your lethal injection, and then count on your ability to fight them off and escape from prison to save you.
I have no doubt that this will undermine Solis' popularity, especially if he is successful in halting the career of Mexico's biggest star, but his realistic options are to either lay down and take the abuse and hardship that Canelo has imposed on him, or to seek relief in court. That's assuming he's civilized enough not to hire 5 or 6 henchmen to take Canelo out behind the woodshed. Obviously the whole "take his license" thing crosses the line a bit into vengeance, but from an unbiased perspective, it would be a just result. That being said, I don't see it happening given Canelo's popularity and the throng of influential Mexicans that want to see him continue fighting.
