The Fastest Knock Out Punchers of All Time

This was a very difficult list to make. I expect to get flamed for this list. These are the fastest of the KO punchers. Fast punchers that did not have KO power need not apply. KO punchers that were slow need not apply either.

    1. Mike Tyson (I am 100% right on this one)

    2. Manny Pacquiao (140 lbs. and less)

    3. Sugar Ray Robinson (remember Fullmer)

    4. Roberto Duran

    5. Jack Dempsey

    6. Thomas Hearns

    7. Joe Louis

    8. Jimmy Wilde

    9. Archie Moore

    10. Marvelous Marvin Hagler

Honorable Mentions: Floyd Patterson, Jack Johnson, Sugar Ray Leonard

In that case he should place Mayweather in the list as such: Floyd Mayweather (10th round of the Hatton fight)

My understanding is that he is talking about KO punchers who are also FAST punchers- who move their fists FAST. The reason jack Johnson is on the list is because, although we'll never know just how good he REALLY was, (because he basically played around with all his oppsition to give the cash customers longer fights, often holding them up when he'd it them too hard) when he wanted to, he punched very fast.

A typical example is actually on film. In his "fight" against the middleweight champ and killer KO merchant (only actually a wild slugger) Stanley Ketchell, which was arranged to make money and be an exhibition, when Ketchell double-crossed him and KD'd Johnson in the
12th he got to his feet and immediately rushed across the ring and KO'd Ketchell with the first punch he threw, a very fast uppercut, a punch for which he was noted.

In his era a black fighter could only make little money, and then only if they gave "value for money:. Guys who KO'd opponents quickly wouldn't have had any audience.
