Who think just before Pac and JMM 3 happens Mayweather announces he's fighting Martinez at 150?

I will be pleasantly surprised if Mayweather took this fight and It would be good credit to him for taking it. Anyone else think if this fight gets made it will be announced the week of Manny's fight with JMM, or close to that time?

Yea, but I almost think they wanna wait until Pac announces his fight with Bradley...but keep in mind..When Floyd skyped with the troops, He told the troops he was working on the biggest contract in sports history and that the contract was with pacman...so I almost think that Sergio may be a back up plan if him and Pac cant come to an agreement ...I think he and Pac will do some negotiating

About a year ago, in response to a leading question, Pacquiao said that he would fight Martinez at 150 (yeah, right).....

But when Sergio called him out.....

No, but the poster implied that simply because of his height Martinez is a small MW.....Its also important to realise that at the time Hagler retired SMW was a division in its infancy, and I may be wrong, but I think Murray sutherland or Chong Pal Park was the only SMW champion, hardly names that Hagler would have considered taking on considering he was one of the biggest names in the sport.

Martinez could move up to supermiddle if he wanted a big fight. I dont get why sergio is so set on chasing these little guys around.

thats what some alot of people been saying about martinez.
instead of fight guys 2 divisions below him, why not fight someone one division above him? martinez wanting to fight pac is like pac wanting to fight a bantamweight...where the weight difference would be the same for a martinez/pac fight and a pac/bantamweight fight.

besides, martinez vs a super middleweight will be closer to being even as far as weight is concerned vs a fight against pac.

i would give martinez more credit if he fights ward/froch/bute in any order...beat two out of 3 and he gets my respect...beat all three and he is diffenetely P4P king in my book.

if martinez wants to be considered with the pac/mayweather world, then he needs to continue to move up in weight and beat some of the top fighters in those divisions...then he can be considered ATG without the need to fight smaller guys in pac or mayweather.

and for the people that keeps bringup up about "if pac can fight margarito at jr middleweight, why not fight martinez"?
- first of all, it was at a catchweight of 150
- second, pac couldnt even make 150
- third, even on fight nite, pac is still within the welterweight limit.

haters will continue to hate on pac and find all kinds of reason to hate and discredit...when theres more to discredit the fraud ;o)
