I didn't see anybody post this but watching Nonito last fight it was delay due to both fighters hand warps. They both had a layers of tape in there warps the same layer of tape in Tito warps. I am wondering is Nonito true power came from those warps ??? I can't see why a thin layer of tape matter much . What your guys impot ???

Nonito only connected squarely in the 3rd. Most of the night he was bashing blocked arms.
If Nonito changed up his offense maybe he would have gotten more openings. -

So are you implying his gloves are loaded? An extra layer of tape isn't going to knock anyone senseless.
Nonito doesn't knock guys out just because of some massive power. His power is good, but he has the success he does because of his skillset. He constantly catches guys with hard shots (mainly that left hook as noted by the Roach Coach) when they're making a move, and don't see it coming. I think to imply that his gloves could could be loaded is silly; his success in the ring doesn't have that much to do with his punching power, as opposed to hard hitting sluggers like Abraham, Pavlik, Margarito, ect.
Nonito wasn't connecting cleanly because his opponent didn't want to engage. Sergio Martinez had the same problem in his last fight. Same goes for Pacquiao in the second half of the Mosley fight.Last edited by paulf; 10-31-2011, 01:16 AM.Comment

Nonito's problem was that Narvaez's defense was incredible, and he was wholly committed to maintaining it.Comment

Those incredible knockouts he had.... he caught them cold with a left hook while they were either engaging or his opponent was coming forward... Narvaez did neither.Comment
