    Good observations...

Roach and Pacquiao's mitt session is where the strategy is on display, the sparring clips don't give off enough for me...

There'll be no role reversals in the third fight though. JMM is usually boxing in the sparring clips I've seen and it won't change in the fight.

Without a jab, Pacquiao is still susceptible to JMM's counterpunching; Marquez times Pacquiao's attack, steps back, lets Pacquiao reach, and counters. He's been doing it all along because Pacquiao, without a jab, isn't able to adjust; all he can do is try to feint JMM off of his timing or catch him in a bad position.

Lamont Peterson did this to Ortiz because of the same reason; Ortiz doesn't have a jab, so he launches himself into his attack. Ortiz couldn't get his offense going after Peterson consistently timed his hop step.

Pacquiao still has the flaws JMM exploited in the past. Pacquiao's going to have to pull out tricks he hasn't in order to win this fight. Pacquiao has increased his advantages and he's going to need them because if he doesn't take JMM out early, he's in for a long night.

Sidestepping and body punching, if executed, is a good start.
