Whipping himself into shape might help a little, but he will never win. . . anybody wants to bet on Toney (ill take Lebedev) for hundred million points OR MORE let me know
You know the weight Toney lost? Brewster found it.

Losing weight is not going to help Toney. He's lost 57 pounds in a big hurry, probably using something illegal.

Look at what that kind of weight loss did for Chris Byrd. Toney would have also lost a lot of muscle tissue doing this so fast.

The FACT is Toney hasn't looked good in a fight for over half a decade. His jock-sniffers are in deep denial about what a clown Toney has become.

The IRS is the reason Toney is suddenly so disciplined. He's in big tax trouble.

He has no business in the ring with Lebedev. Lebedev is going to kill him, maybe literally.

lol at UFC shirt. And yeah good point about weight loss, as while it has slimmed Toney down quite some, it's still been a long time since Toney has looked good inside the ring

If James wins this fight at his advanced age it will be because of the old school skills he learned from this man.

In the rematch Brewster was on medical suspension in the States. Germany was the only place he could get a license. Also Brewster had not fought in over a year and lost his last fight. It isn't like it was a meaningful defense for Wlad. Even though it was probably the most dangerous title defense during his reign.

Hardly. Tony Thompson was a much better opponent.

As far as the Brewster rematch goes, if Lennox Lewis's rematch win over Ollie McCall, who suffered a drug-withdrawal/nervous breakdown during the fight, counts as Lewis "avenging" his earlier KO defeat, as I always hear it does, then Wlad's win over Brewster should at least count for the same, if not more.

There's bit more to the McCall rematch though. In the first fight McCall had Don King behind him and Larry Holmes' former trainer Richie Giachetti and Emanuel Steward both training him. In the rematch McCall had neither trainer, Steward even jumped corners and was now in Lewis' corner.

And McCall wasn't inactive a year, on medical suspension and lost his last fight.

I do agree about Thompson being a more worthy opponent though, you are right about that.

That all might be, but all I'm saying is that Lewis really didn't do anything to "avenge" the KO defeat but stand there and watch McCall melt down in front of the world due to factors outside of the actual fight. So if that counts as "avenging" a KO loss, Wlad beating down a less than 100% Brewster is at least as legit, probably moreso.

At least with Tony Thompson we don't have to hear about the tiresome "size" issue, as he is as big as Wlad or bigger.

Somethng tell's me James Toney should have hung them awhile back. Hope he doesn't end up like most of the other fighters that thought they could turn back the clock one too many times,

Like when he lost to Sam Peter the second time. He's been washed up ever since, and getting more brain damage with every fight.
