Since most PPV numbers released are from HBO (US only) numbers I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of figures they get in other countries? For example Mayweather-Ortiz was said to have gotten over 40k buys in the UK. Particularly Japan and Australia showed the fight on PPV.
When the UFC give their numbers they always tell people the international numbers while boxing tells people the domestic numbers. This makes it look like the UFC is on par with boxing's ppv numbers when in fact boxing's domestic market is dwarfing their internation numbers.
Some past ones I know of:
Tyson-Lewis 800k buys from the UK total 3 million
Hatton-Mayweather-1.2 million from UK total 2 million
Pacman-Hatton - 1 million from UK - total 1.8 million
It seems boxing fans never discuss international numbers so it's hard to find info on them.
