The only guy I've seen do well with pressure was Castillo in his first fight. After that Floyd worked it out and killed him in their 2nd fight, knocked Hatton out and knocked Ortiz out ....they all came with the same idea of pressure pressure pressure

edit: Oscar did OK to be fair too, but he was a solid boxer to boot

      Pressure COULD WORK

But not from a Face First Brawler with No Head Movement just looking to trying and KO Floyd, he would pick that type of fighter apart for 12 Rounds

Mayweather doesn't stay in front of you long enough to allow you to constantly APPLY PRESSURE

that dude mentally comes prepared for EVERY SCENARIO POSSIBLE, the probably is that NOBODY has been able to show him something he never seen before and catch him OFF GUARD

Mayweather knows what his opponent will do before they do it!

This thread is a fail because who is baldy? Thats like saying the key to beat Pac is by boxing skills and then putting Paul Mallignagi against Pac.

But Hatton wanted to pressurize floyd, but wasnt allowed to. So maybe pressuring Floyd is still the way to go, as long as the ref dont stop you doing what you want to do.

You have to be clever to beat him. If you are going to just try and pressure and look busy then before you know it the bell has rung for round 9 and you are needing a KO to win.

He tends to discourage most of his opponents and thats why you see them somewhat give up mentally, because their plans aren't even semi-working and they are clueless what to do next.

Actually I think the best way to go would be to outfloyd floyd.

Back up just enough to make him chase you then jump in with a lead right left hook as he gets settled in the pocket.

Jmm had very good success against him at times with it, landing as clean as anyone ever had, but just wasnt able to hurt floyd with the massive weight disadvantage.

it really is a shame the margarito fight never happened.
Oscar had all of the advantages Margarito never had, and he still lost.

Why should that be a shame? Margarito got caught cheating! He's lucky he didn't get banned from boxing for life (which should have happened). Many of his past accolades are all under question now, and rightfully should be. A fighter cheating is the shame!

To beat Floyd, a fighter must be just as skilled as Floyd, if not more. Skills is the name of the game, and the next is knowledge. A high boxing IQ. If you don't have either of those two, there is little chance other than luck or Floyd slacking on preparation.

the only thing that will beat floyd is age or a guy thats as good as or better than him and bigger which doesnt exist. so age is the only thing beating floyd.
