According to a published report in The Pensacola Journal, 'Smoke' Gainer, 33, was arrested over a $4 parking fee

The Pensacola Journal reports a refusal to pay a $4 parking fee resulted in criminal charges against Derrick "Smoke" Gainer and an arrested early Sunday at the Pensacola Interstate Fair.

Gainer now faces a second-degree misdemeanor charge of theft. The Journal reported the Police said Gainer refused several times to pay the $4 parking fee at the fair's main parking lot.

*According to an arrest report, Gainer told deputies that he had parked in the drop-off zone to drop of his children. Gainer, posted a $500 bond to be released from Escambia County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 23.
