They've been talking about Donaire coming up to meet Gamboa at 126 when Nonito hasn't even had his first fight at 122. Yuri is making his next fight at 130. Meanwhile, the powers-that-be are seriously touting a fight between Gamboa and Rios (easily a welterweight) at 135. My su****ions that a fight between "El Ciclon" and "The Flash" ain't ever gonna happen are getting stronger....

Really? Rios is a mammoth of a LW and Gamboa hasn't even fought at SF yet. I think it's suicide for Gamboa TBH. Rios is too big for him.

I presume you mean the Donaire fight isn't happening. You appear to be confirming that Gamboa-Rios is in our future. Please clarify.

No one has been named yet, but the word is that Gamboa will be fighting in January.

Great fight, but I thought Rios was talking about to moving up to 140 relatively soon.

That's why they want to make it by mid 2012. Pretty sure they know Rios is getting too big for 135 and the window for the fight is closing. They won't sit on this one like they did Juanma-Gamboa. Time is of the essence, so Summer 2012 it is.
