...Yeah yeah, he had a rough childhood, but that **** only carries things but so far. I have known tons of people who were adopted, didn't have ****, were mistreated as children, and still turned out to be good contributing members of society. How about poor ass imigrants that came alone to this country back in the day and didn't speak the language, didn't know one person, didn't have any education, and were discriminated against because they were Italian, Chinese, Irish, etc. etc. A great number of those people made respectful lives for themselves and didn't turn into animals because of their lack of the finer things.

That's because they had jobs and had to blend in. Tyson's job was fighting people, something he did as a child and throughout his whole life.

PBDS, I'd love to know what you have achieved in your life.

You have to remember that Western society (particularly American and British) are very quick to build up a cult of celebrity and equally content to destroy them. Perhaps Mike plays into that role from time to time (after all he gets a tonne of money for doing it) but he, like everyone else, has alot of demonss. Maybe he has more so. I suggest people review themselves before trying to protect their self esteem by seeking to undermine and destroy other people.

i wouldnt feel bad for mike because he was 'once the baddest man on the planet, and now this'. i think this is exactly what he wants. boxing has done just as much to ruin his life as it has to make it. he just plain wants out, and he has for awhile. he's calmed down a lot since his last public tyrade surrounding the lennox fight. he just wants to be happy and thats all he's really been focused on, and i'm glad he's finally doing that. he's attempting to escape boxing. a lot of fighters aren't able to.
