funny that when pac moved up to fight cotto at a catchweight, people rag on pac for being a catchweight king...so now marquez is the one moving up in weight to fight pac at a catchweight, haters still call pac a catchweight king...

as for martinez, martinez wants to fight pac at a catchweight...but we all know that haters will call pac a catchweight king here also.

for some reason, when boxers of different divisions want to fight each other...and agree to a catchweight, haters are hating on pac and u dont hear da hate with other boxers...just goes to show you the big time hate pac is getting from fraud fans and haters

i mean, pac moved up to fight delahoya, then moved down to fight hatton, then moved back up to fight cotto...all of that moving up and down the weight class for several fights in a row is much more difficult than what delahoya, cotto, and hatton had to go thru....i mean, hatton was already fighting at his best weight...cotto only had to lose 1 pound off of his usual official weigh in weight, and delahoya was already had plans to fight at welterweight even before delahoya fought pac.

I was gonna say something but a few posters already beat me to it. If Floyd Fights Martinez, Pac will probably fight him in one year lol.

Floyd still has to fight Margarito, Clottey and Cotto. Pac has been way more active than Floyd.

forget martinez, the sizes are not good match-up... people who claims to be boxing fans hate catchweight fights..

            manny and floyd should fight..

There is no IF with manny. Manny first says he'll fight Martinez at 150 then Martinez says he will accept a fight at 150 now Manny p*ssy's out and says 147. If Floyd fights Martinez I will think what I have always thought which is Manny is and always will be a p*ssy and Floyd will be p4p #1 when he beats Martinez.

What difference would it make at this point?

As it is, Manny hasn't beaten anyone in years that someone else hasn't beaten before him within 1 tune up fight ... sometimes 2 tune up fights.

The requirements to get a Manny Pacquiao fight?

                1. You must have just lost the biggest fight of your career.

                2. You must not look too impressive in your tune up.

                3. You must be willing to "play ball" with Manny's demands.

Its pretty embarrassing, but Filipinos and peasant fans have actually lowered the bar for what it is to be a top fighter and hoped no one noticed. They hail Manny as a "boxing god" for what he's done since fighting Marquez, but ignore the fact that Manny hasn't faced a top 3 boxer since 2008 .. the same year he fought Marquez.

So again, what difference does it make who Pacquiao fights?

Most Filipino pacfans wouldn't care if Pacquiao fought Laila Ali to be considered the best of all time. The condition or the rank of Manny's opponents doesn't matter to Filipino pacfans. They could be ranked 5th or 50th. It wouldn't make a difference as long as the promotion for the fight included posters that looked cool, a good build up and certain media pundits saying that the fight would be "big".

Its ashamed that many people can be fooled so easily in today's world, but I guess it comes down to what they really care about. They don't care about legitimacy. They care about seeing someone that looks like them on television not embarrassing them and their culture. And they don't get that very often.

Filipino fans for the most part don't support Nonito Donaire despite him being the better boxer. He's too American and therefore is a banana. Plus, Donaire has said things that don't necessarily flatter Pacquiao in favor of the truth. For instance Donaire has gone on record to say that Marquez won the fights against Pacquiao. He's also said that Floyd was in the right in his fight with Ortiz.

Telling the truth was enough for Nonito to lose a lot of support from the fanatical ******* sycophants, even though he is Filipino himself.

It will never matter who Pacquiao fights or at what point he fights them. He's fighting Marquez 3 years after the rematch SHOULD HAVE taken place. Few *******s criticize him for that, as nothing he does warrants criticism in their desperate minds.

If Pac doesn't fight Martinez, his legion of bootlickers will simply defend him with the usual "Manny is just too small", despite Pacquiao claiming to be a 8 division titlist which includes the jrMW division. Sergio has already expressed that he is willing to come down to 154lbs.

Yet facing Martinez before he is thoroughly beaten by someone else is completely out of the question for Manny Pacquiao.

So my answer is no. It won't make a difference if Pacquiao doesn't face Martinez because one is supported by a legion of howler monkeys that will scream to the heavens that Manny has walked on the waters of boxing.

Idolatry in its most embarrassing form.

But then again boxing has made millions off of their ignorance .. which means the sport thrives and lives on off of the backs of peasant dollars as well as real fan dollars.

Its a win/win if you look at it that way and can stomach a bunch of pathetic peasants who make noise because they have never been on the world stage before and don't know how to act.
