I believe Toney will school Lebedev.. He's too slick and experienced to get beat by someone that basic.

Got stunned by total bum Matt Greer in the first round of their fight and hurt badly. Got blown out in UFC by old man Randy Couture. Looked crappy in UD win against total bum Damon Reed, who was knocked out by Deontay Wilder in two rounds in his next fight.

Now the Eli Seckbach videos show Toney glassy-eyed, drooling and slurring, and he looks slow and stunned in sparring.

Toney is in hock to the IRS which is why he's fighting in Russia (when he hates flying). It's why he embarrassed boxing with his UFC debacle, and why he was going to do it again with Ken Shamrock (who had no intention of following through).

Toney is really pitiful. That's the reality. The people who think he's still the guy who fought Jirov are as delusional as Toney himself.

James Toney is my all-time favourite fighter, not even anyone near him... I even bet on him against randy couture

BUT, all I see is negatives in this leadup. I don't know what is worse? The early stages of brain damage (he admits to that in a an espn interview conducted in 2008, bad memory, etc - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiQXogpXXDs), his recent performances in the ring, or the massive weight drop that yes will improve his balance but will definitely weaken him.

Like I said, he is my all-time favourite, but I'm hoping he gets through this OK.

Older fighters like Toney who lose alot of weight don't tend to do so well once they actually get in the ring (Chris Byrd being a recent example).

Byrd like Toney looked in great shape but once he was in the ring had no energy, no punch resistance and overall was just terrible.

Lebedev is an average fighter but i see him clearly beating Toney at this point.

Toney will have his moments but will be outworked and overall will look way past it ( which he is).

I haven't seen the Lebedev-RJJ fight but, according to the score cards, Lebedev would've won that fight by Split Decision had it gone the distance. I don't know how accurate they were but if the fight was close then it wouldn't shock me to see Toney upset. If RJJ who is past it can give him troubles, then I could see a guy like Toney upset him.
