Martinez and Sturm are the established top fighters in the division.
The current middleweight division is so weak that 2 unproven fighters make my top 5 despite weak resumes, but based on their obvious potential: Proksa and Golovkin.
I am still skeptic about Pirog (I think Proksa completely dominating Sylvester and Golovkin's amateur success are more impressive than a win over Daniel Jacobs), so my number 5 would be Daniel Geale for now. Other contenders: N'Dam N'Jikam (haven't seen enough of him really), Andy Lee, Matthew Macklin and Marco Antonio Rubio.
Extremely weak division especially in terms of depth, but tons of potential
Damn MW has a very deep talent pool. Any 4 of these guys would have been signature wins for Hopkins during the horrible era he was MW Champion and arguably would be his top victories at that weight, if he beat them.
Three levels A
Martinez
Pirog
Golovkin
Proksa
Sturm
B (all of them could possibly be A level)
Khurtsidze
Njikam
Geale
Macklin
Barker
Quillen
C
Korobov (possible A)
Lemieux (possible A)
Lee
Bursak
Jacobs (possible B)
Mcewen

I agree with this, but I think that if Korovor or Golovkin fight vs Pirog now they won against him.
