Robert is aware that Gamboa is moving up to 130, so he appears to be saying that Mikey might be moving up to meet him at junior lightweight. I welcome the challenge. The only other interesting fight I see for Yuri at 130 is Broner.

My sentiments exactly. Gamboa is a potential P4P king, while Garcia is "just" very good.

        Dude....

Gamboa would smash on Mikey if they fought now.

Give Mikey a few more fights and MAYBE he'll be ready.

Mikey is very well schooled, but what Yuri has can't be taught. The prospect of these two fighting reminds me of Hamed-Barrera. The difference being that Marco Antonio was a highly experienced, legendary fighter, while Garcia is a still-growing pup. Barrera was able to punish the "Prince's" unorthodox tendencies. I don't think Miguel is savvy or skilled enough to do the same to Gamboa.

With all this talk of Gamboa's inborn talents, it's easy to lose sight of his skills. Make no mistake, Yuriorkis Gamboa is a highly skilled fighter who chooses to fight the way he does because he can. But if we want to bill this as a battle of technique versus natural ability, the "natural" will emerge victorious....

Exactly how I feel. Doesn't help Garcia that Gamboa looks to just have that p4p talent that can't be taught.
