I'm a realist. Toney is a veteran that has seen it all! Who has ever beaten Toney badly?
Next question - So what makes you think Lebedev can?

Lebedev is slow, his power is massively overrated & his punch output is a sheer disgrace. Toney will Tarver this ugly Elephant man looking freak of nature.
-- Lebedev's looks aren't going to matter one way or the other. Lebedev doesn't have to be an ATG to beat James Toney circa 2011. Toney has conned you and others into believing he still has something left, when the reality is he doesn't and hasn't for some time now. Toney has been on the slide since the first Sam Peter fight -- he was beaten badly in the rematch, and hasn't looked good since.

Toney is punch-drunk, a sad case who shouldn't even be licensed to fight. And he might not be in many US states. But the Russians don't care if Lebedev kills him -- why should they? It's not their fault he's in hock to the IRS and is desperate for cash.

Losing weight doesn't un-"shot" you. In fact, that much weight loss can only hurt you if done quickly and the "wrong way" and we all know what that means.

Yep. Toney has been walking around at 250+ pounds for years. And now he's got to drop 57 pounds from his last fight to make the CW limit. Remember what happened to Chris Byrd when he dropped all the weight?

We've got some delusional types here who think that if Toney does make weight he is going to magically be the guy who fought Jirov in 2003. Not going to happen. Toney is not Vitali Klitschko: he's abused his body over the years, and it's caught up to him. One must eventually pay for the gluttonous lifestyle Toney has led.

It's going to be a very sad day for these Toney believers if he does make weight and fight Lebedev. Given his drooling, slurring and glassy eyes, Toney doesn't need any more brain trauma, and Lebedev is a hard hitter. One hard shot could render Toney a vegetable.
