with a win over pac and if JMM is still around with those 1-2 wins he has to be a GOAT and a top 3 mexican fighter all time, like jim lampely said the best little man in the last decade

I rate the 3rd Morales fight as his greatest win. Yes, the Hamed fight was pretty big. Hamed was undefeated and this unbeatable guy and Barrera exposed him but i think because hamed didn`t come back after the loss it damages Barrera's credit. Hamed now looks a one hit wonder in retrospect. Morales had proven credentials and it was the third fight of the trillogy. I only rate the first fight slightly higher than the third, it was a brillant fight. The Hamed fight, although good to watch Hamed exposed, was too one sided to be a great fight. Barrera coming out in the first round and hammering Morales was fantastic, Jim lampery commented on air "Barrera looks red hot in the opening minute". Excellent stuff, Barrera coming back after the pac man loss and performing to that standard against a proven pound for pound warrior in Morales. For me, Morales Vs Barrera 3 is Barrera's defining fight!

Does this question depend on where you come from? I think in the UK (generalising) there's the su****ion that Hamed was good enough to beat Barrera but didn't train enough/got old. In the US (generalisation) Hamed is less respected.

So Hamed would be the more the UK option and if "Morales trilogy" was collectively an option that would more the US vote? I'm talking **** really... Naz is running away with the poll....

Barrera's career defining fight is his first fight against Morales. The fight was brutal, high paced, savage, non-stop action from start to finish and highly technical in the way few wars ever are and ultimately re-kindled his career after his losses to Junior Jones.

The fight with Hamed it seemed like it was just a race to see who would beat him first. Hamed had people waiting forever to see him get tested by an elite fighter and when he finally did he failed miserably. Also i dont think anyone cared that Barrera roughoused hamed because hamed himself was dirty too. The way i saw it was, he had it comin. LOL.

His win against Hamed was his career defining fight I believe. No one knew much of him until he beat the arrogant, ****y Hamed. When you beat fighters as ****y and arrogant as Hamed you get your exposure in most cases. He was a star after this fight because not only could he brawl (that we already knew) but he put on a boxing lesson.

Yeah, I'm very disappointed at that fight. Marco pulled a chump move, trying to get disqualified.
