Donaire showed that he is very overrated. People appointed him P4P wthout letting him earn it against great not good opposition. He hasn't beaten a fighter that was tearing up boxing and he showed lastnite that he's not too versatile. He could've varied his attack and got the much smaller Narvaez out there, instead he was pretty predictable which allowed Narvaez to defend against him easily.

Don't agree with most of the things you post, but I actually agree with you here. Donaire needed to show more versatility. He did the same thing from round 1 to round 12, even though he saw things were not working, he continued to do it.

I though he would at least switch to the southpaw stance and try to at least come in at a different angle. He also was easily frustrated, often throwing wild and wide punches. Very disappointing to see from Donaire.

You dont have to agree with me. A simple consistent body attack would've did the trick and if Donaire would've coupled that with different angles he would've ended the fight early. Switching didn't seem to work but the body shots did. Donaire was so busy trying to look spectacular that he didn't read Narvaez body language when he caught him with a few body shots. Narvaez definitely felt them.

Not at all but Williams was on everybodies P4P list and deservedly so while Pavlik was the middle-wt to beat and Martinez was not suppose to beat him. The guys Donaire beat were good but did not warrant him being P4P top 10 and some have nerve to say he's the best in boxing which is ******ed. This fight showed his lack of versatility and this was a cagey but much smaller fighter. All Im saying is why be so quick to call him great instead of letting him show us the goods.

Man people are quick to call fighters over-rated these days! So it wasnt his best performance, he still dominated. After the 3rd round Narvarez wanted no part in a fight. Got to assign some blame to Nonito though, why didnt he vary his attack? He should of been going to the body more to try and get those hands down. So, one fight against a guy who was scared to fight means that Donaire has no chance against anyone over 118? Come on, morons. Grow up. I dont know what people wanted Narvaez to do. He fought a good fight to me. He never had a shot in the US. He took the hardest fight possible, THE HARDEST. Going up in weight, against the best fighter in the lower weights, who is supposed to fight Gamboa, Juanma in a few months. He took his chances, went in the ring, i think he really wanted to win, but he found out that he was fighting a ****ing giant in there! He was a dwarf. And couldnt hurt donaire, while donaire was too strong. And really really fast.
Narvaez showed that he has an incredible defense, the shell was just because of Donaire working rate and power, he is not in a shell in any fight, he fights with his hands down like Martinez. He made Nonito miss all night. Nonito wasnīt able to land a glove on Narvaez all night. While Narvaez connected every time he was able. It happens he wasnt able to connect more, because he was fighting a giant, so the fight was a little boring if u want to see blood and unconcious people.
I had the fight 8-4 for Donaire but i have a lot of respect for Narvaez, he was the more skilled fighter last night, fighting a huge and great fighter, he did what he could. Nobody thought he would last more than 4 rounds.

It was a highly technical fight. Donaire showed you can be technical but on the offensive 90% of the time. Narvaez felt Nonito's power & decided to cover up 99% of the time. Anyway casual fans who filled the small arena were shown how to box properly.

A bigger and stronger version of Narvaez would have exposed Donaire no problem. I think it is obvious why Donaire doesnīt want to fight on a more natural division for him, he canīt deal with guys of his size.
