This was supposed to be Nonito's coming out party and showcase at MSG... but they matched him up with an overly defensive fighter? That was a stinker, Narvaez was only looking to survive 12 rounds and wanted nothing to do with a fight. Surely, a HOF matchmaker like Trampler could do better...

I agree but is also a bit of Donaire fault. All he did was come foward and throw punches. He was not going to the body to make the guy lower his shell defense and he was not giving the guy angles. I am not really impressed but lets see what he does next.

The win over Montiel was the coming out party for Donaire but the promotional problems after that shelved him.
122 is next for him and i hope that Nonito meets Nishioka.
As far as Narvaez, he either got the Clottey or the Penalosa.

I didn't mind this fight, because I knew this was gonna be his last fight @ 118, But this bs better not happen at 122.

Happy that Nonito can finally move up cause if guys like these are some of the best in the bantamweight class then it's time to move the fuuuck up.
Cause Narvaez just wanted to survive.

At the end of the day, Nonito still gave Narvaez his first loss EVER. Despite it being in a weight class that Narvaez isn't suited in, that's impressive.
