Funny everyone talks smack on how Donaire is to big for the division. Yet he makes weight like nothing. I agree, since when did Flash have abs of steel. It's OK not to have abs if you got the skills to make up for the muscle mass. This fight is gna be done inside the 6th round. Donaire = BEAST...
Donaire IS too big for the division. Anybody can starve themselves and make a weight, and he didn't make the weight like it was nothing, he said he had the most difficult time he ever had getting back down to 116 because he was walking around at 145! When he finally does move up to 122 or 26 we will see how his body really should look..

I don't understand why people want Donaire to move up. As long as he can make 118, he should fight at 118; if he can still make 115, then he should fight at 115 (so long as he chooses to). Hell, he should fight at whatever weight he feels like. It's not like he's the biggest or only fighter to do this. Trinidad, Margarito, and De La Hoya were huge welterweights (all at 5'10"-5'11")!!! Hell, Oscar won his first title at 130! Look at Hearns and Williams. Those guys were giants for being welterweights!!! Caballero is huge for being a 122 and 126 pounder. Morales was very big for a 122 pounder as well. The list can go on and on... Donaire isn't doing anything unusual. He's doing what's expected!!!
I think he's trying to talk height when he talks too big. It's funny, I remember a mexican lightweight on the Rios/Antillon undercard that was 6 foot and some change.

Height really has nothing to do with weight. It all depends on a persons frame. But in any case, as long Nonito is making weight he's doing everything right. It's really up to Donaire to determine if 118 is still good for him, or if moving up might be a better option.
But the fools on this forum act as if they know what they're talking about. The only person who know's whether 118 or 122 or 126 is right for him is Donaire.
Damn there are some dumb people in this forum. Since when are you TOO BIG for a division?
If you can make weight, you can make weight. There is nothing illegal about being bigger on fight night.
this is true. But I think it might be a benefit for him to be fighting at the higher weights though because less weight to cut and also their is more bigger/high profile fights for him at the higher weights. hopefully after narvaez he moves up to 122 and fights for another belt.

That might be true, or it may not be true, only Donaire should know.
The problem is that on this forum you hear alot people saying this guy should move up, that guy should move up, not knowing that many fighters that have moved up were not as succesfull as they were in the lower weight class.
I am not saying Donaire won't be succesfull in moving up, but what I am saying is that it's not easy and guaranteed success. Maybe he won't be that fast or strong and that might affect his performance.
