How is dawson's shoulder move any less a dirty move? All I see hopkins doing was lunging and missing and because dawson ducked low the result was hopkins being on him.

Again see above. I never said hopkins was innocent. The blame goes to all three of the people in the ring.

Yea ducking low to avoid a punch is normal, that's part of boxing. He didn't duck low and in like some people do.

Hopkins did what he always does, threw a right hand and tried to smother Dawson with his weight. That is borderline legal and so is shrugging someone off of you. This whole "cuffed the leg and threw him down" thing is a myth. That did not happen, the only image of it is a poor angle of Dawson's glove.

Dawson found Hopkins on top of him, lifted up and shrugged off...yes, he did it with some authority, but who could blame him?

It should be ruled a NC, there's no doubt....but I'm glad someone stood up to Hopkins' tactics. They've been working and they're part of what make him great, but they're an eyesore and someone needed to do something about them.

He isn't the only one for sure, but he does it a lot. The ring smarts and craftiness doesn;t stop with him. He goes all the way to a fight not finishing which ruins it for boxing fans.

what's illegal about getting the guy the fck off you? Protect yourself at all times, including when strange tactics are taking place. Bhop was trying to have his way with Dawson and he wasn't having it. Wtf, is he supposed to just let Hopkins rest on his back until the ref gets him off when he could get him off his back himself? then its up to the ref to deduct the point not Dawson to shove him off..Dawson couldve taken a knee theres no way the Ref wouldve called it a knock down..he wouldve claimed NO knockdown due to leaning...its simple..jus cause hop was on his back..dont give a guy the right to "foul" back...doesnt make it legal...
