    Cringe-worthy...

I could understand if someone were posting irrefutable facts, but most of these are opinions and his analysis is just a lot of hot air. Not saying all of them are wrong, but it's very cringe-worthy when I hear people who apparently don't watch boxing outside of established fighters or pay-per-view events and talk about boxing as if they've been following it forever and consider all the angles before passing "opinions" as "facts".

Reason #1: "Pacquiao is too good in the ring...Mayweather is a great boxer, but he's a better runner. He should be in the Olympics as a runner, not as a boxer."

    *Facepalm*

Look, I'm Puerto Rican. The first guy that comes to mind when I think of a "runner" in boxing is Ivan Calderón. The guy can't punch for **** so he relies on his footwork and reflexes to box his opponent. The only recent fights I can think of where Mayweather can be considered to be "running" or on full retreat was the Hatton fight. Seriously, where does this guy come up with his stuff? He stood his ground in his fights with Marquez (regardless of competitiveness), Mosley, and Ortiz. Labelling him a runner...

Reason #2: "Pacquiao fought himself out of the streets...Pacquiao is just too mean for Mayweather...Mayweather doesn't want that."

    :S

I'll give him that. Pacquiao has probably had a rougher childhood than Mayweather, but what's that got to do with the fight itself...?

Reason #3: "Pacquiao can take it and dish it out. Mayweather is famous for avoiding punches. Whoa...that's the way someone who CAN'T take a good punch boxes. Pacquiao is willing to take two punches to land one. And that single one is going to be harder than those two."

Way to say generic clichés of boxing, "take two to land one". So Mayweather can't knock Pacquiao down/hurt him? I'll give Pacquiao that he's willing to get into exchanges, but to imply that Mayweather can't land his own punches and get Pacquiao's attention is pushing it. Some people look at Mayweather as the boxer and erroneously assume that he's feather-fisted. Malignaggi is feather-fisted, Sergio Mora is feather-fisted, Yuri Foreman is feather-fisted...Mayweather, not the biggest puncher out there, but he has respectable power.

Reason #4: "His greatest fear is losing. It's impressive to be undefeated, but it's more impressive to come back stronger after being defeated. Pacquiao does that ALL the time."

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Mayweather has had his foot outside the door for the past four or five years now. If his money moniker doesn't let you know that, nothing will. The sole REASON why he makes money is off of his undefeated record. People pay to see if he'll lose. It does not matter if Floyd loses against someone, and he comes back strong by knocking out guys three weight classes up, his marketability will not recover because those same buyers who used to watch him to see him lose will be forever satisfied with that one single loss and replay it on youtube over and over again.

Pacquiao does it all the time? Yeah, of course he does...he says it like Pacquiao's done it multiple times. He's lost three times and sure he's gone up and down and been willing to put controversies to rest by rematching Barrera, Morales, and Marquez, but then again, maybe the reason why people put stock in those victories is because they were competitive...? Pacquiao took punishment, etc.

Mayweather's never had a ring rival, and because of that, people feel as if they have no real barometer to determine his greatness. Then again, he hasn't been in a competitive fight (a fight where the opponent actually put on a very solid effort) since Castillo I.

Reason #5: "Pacquiao wants it more than Mayweather. He is too pretty, too much money, and doesn't want to get smashed in the face to win."

Of course he doesn't. I understand people saying, "Well, if you're not willing to get hit, you're in the wrong sport!" Mayweather is the boxer, his strength comes from hitting you and moving out of the way. Do people expect Mayweather to suddenly do a 180 turn and fight like Margarito just for him to gain "warrior" points?

I like Pacquiao.... but this makes me want facepalm until there is a red mark on my face. People should seriously think before they talk.... because that's the biggest idiotic piece of B.S i've ever heard anybody say.
