Suppose this change in result is only fair. Seeing Hopkins seem to make the most of injuries in the past i wasn't to sympathetic at the time..should of been ruled a no-contest though.

Cant see the media being to interested in a re-match, but i would like to see things settled fairly and once and for all in a re-match.

Bernard Hopkins has been reinstated as WBC light heavyweight champion by the WBC in the wake of Saturday's bizarre fight with Chad Dawson in which Hopkins was ruled a second-round knockout loser.

The WBC changed the decision to a technical draw and gave him back the title.

While he gets the belt back, the result is not "official" because only the California commission can report "official results" to Fight Fax (boxing's official record keeper), but the upshot is that Hopkins gets the title back.

The result may be changed "officially" by the California commission pending the hearing scheduled in a few weeks.

I have mixed feelings about it....Dawson clearly didn't win by TKO and it never should of been ruled a TKO...but not sure if Hopkins injury was legit...I think WBC made the right call by awarding the belt back to Hopkins...I also think there should be a mandatory rematch on HBO not PPV...

His MRI came back as a dislocated joint in the shoulder. So it is a real injury for all you people that thought he was faking.
