Well **** that if it happens. I don't want Donaire to be fed with these older and smaller guys. If he's truly considered one of the best p4p fighters in this sport today then he should step up. I gave him credit for blasting Vic when Vic was steamrollin' fighters but now it's time to move up.

also, the thing is omar narvaez isn't some unproven (at the world championship level) undefeated fighter. narvaez is an experienced two-division world champ. he successfully defended his flyweight world title for almost a decade! I just think people's expectations for this fight was way too high, and just because donaire didn't deliver a spectacular KO win this time around he's all of a sudden overrated...lol.

Big difference between Donaire's struggles with Narvaez and Martinez's struggles with Barker.

donaire is much bigger, much faster, stronger and more athletic. After the 3rd round narvaez knew his only chance was a huge donaire mistake. Think he was happy to survive after realizing he had no real chance.

Showed boxing skills early and defense all night, however the lack of offense was really irritating after about the 5th. Would like to see narvaez at the smaller weight. Maybe he engages more.

Donaire is a beast and golden boy should have known about this guy's defense. ****** matchup

Narvaez may have laid out a blue print on at least what works against Donaire...Narvarez was landing jabs and he was landing them easily and Donaire had no answer for his defense

Narvaez came to survive though, not sure if he really "WANTED TO WIN"
No the blue print to beat has been laid by mthalane. He was beating donaire till the fight was stopped bc of cuts.

I've always felt he was overrated, and I stand by my opinion even more so now. Yes he has two very good wins under his belt, but that's about it. He shows tons of athleticism but not too much boxing technique and he's huge for his weight class. Nobody beats him at 118 because of his size, I'm just patiently waiting for him to move up and we'll see the real Donaire.

I honestly believe he stand little chance against Rigondeaux, Gamboa, Juanma, or Garcia (the people he should be fighting) and will be exposed.

except donaire landed on omar everytime he went to the body

Taller fighter..he'd have to bend down to get to the body..and the guy had a high guard which would leave Donaire wide open to get countered...plus he isnt much of a body puncher at this point in his career..thats 1 thing he is missing
