October 31, 2005 - It’s been a hard few months for IBF Jr welterweight king Ricky Hatton. After winning the belt from all-time great Kostya Tszyu, there was a split with promoter Frank Warren that turned sour. Warren threatened to have the upcoming unification fight with WBA champ Carlos Maussa cancelled, and there was a period of limbo for Ricky whilst he waited for things to be sorted out. With Warren’s threat of an injunction now taken back, Ricky is back to training hard in preparation for what will definitely be a toe-to-toe, all action tear up with brawling, mauling Maussa. **********’s Matt Winsper caught up with Ricky to get his views on the fight, and on his plans for next year. I love it, Hatton called Castillo one dimensional and then went on to say that he can do different things in the ring???

Hatton if forced to fight from the outside is a C level fighter at best. To say Castillo is one dimensional with his impressive showings against Floyd and slickster Casamayor is just plain wrong.

Im a fan of hard hittin Ricky Hatton but when you knock my boy I just cant stand for it!

Hatton was correct in calling Castillo one dimensional. But, Hatton is too. It'd make for a good action fight, but I wouldn't want it. I'd rather Mayweather fight Hatton. Mayweather matters more than either of the other two.
