Do i need to post pictures of sprinters? do you realize how strong their legs are? usain bolt has pencils for legs.. but they are symmetrical with the rest of him.
And for the record.. Shanes power comes from his form. He does'nt punch with his arms but swings his entire body when throwing.Last edited by intoccabile; 10-20-2011, 01:38 AM.Comment

Honestly, boxers and trainers in boxing are probably some of the least informed when it comes to how the body works. This thread is an example. There is a complete lack of focus on lowerbody building in boxing gyms everywhere, they stick to old school methods because their tried and true but that by no means means there is no room for improvement.
And genetics is absolutely no excuse at all, ANYBODY can put on muscle on ANY part of their body. This is an absolute fact. If a guy like berto or mike jones put on size to their legs it would no doubt be hugely beneficial to them. Its not gonna magically slow them down just because their genetics werent built with big legs.
The problem with the boxing community is that there is a huge stigma with weight lifting.Comment

We won't even get into the genetics aspect of this topic that everyone is missing. Black men typically usually have longer leg muscles, not wide. Look at the NBA, hell even look at teh NFL.. some of the bigger AA's in the NFL all have extremely strong legs obviously but the muscles are LONG and narrow.Comment
