I think in 8 rounds in a very tecnical fight.A big rivarly will be built between
these two.I would like to see both get belts first then face each other.

Too early to make a truly educated guess. But if I had to make a call, I say Mikey wins.

Garcia is very well-schooled by his brother Robert. Mikey also has excellent power. On the other hand, Russell has absolutely dazzling hand-speed and tremendous coordination. What Gary has can't be taught. Although they're the same age, Garcia is further along in his career (26-0). Mikey is better tested. Russell (18-0) has simply been outclassing early competition. Not difficult to do when you're as amazingly talented as Gary.

Gamboa is fighting at 130 and beyond, from now on, unless he can be convinced to come back down for a big fight (like Nonito Donaire).

If the fight was gonna be soon, I'd favor Mikey by ko but it won't be made soon and I'd favor Gary Russell when they do eventually fight down the road. Hope they put him in with a live body in his next fight in a real 10 rounder

I don't see Russell as being a future p4p guy,maybe a champ yes "under protection" but him fighting Garcia right now that he's #3 wbo ranked,#3 wba , #3 wbc I don't see that fight happening anytime soon.if it did ,Garcia would expose him and knock him out.there's a reason the top guys in the division don't wanna fight him.plus Caballero's geting the fight he's been asking for with Gamboa soon so thats another reason the fight won't happen.

Seeing as this fight won't happen for at least 18months I'm gonna go with Gary as long as he can keep his hands injury and pain free
