    Is John Duddy over rated?

I Think he is over rated. Only fighters he fights is bums. I think if he step up the competition he would get knock out. What do you think of John duddy?

Son we haqve had this discussion on every baby fighter possible...the answer to your question is no he is not ovverrated and on the flip side he should not be rated...the kid has a long way to go...

It will be a couple years before you can make a determination on Duddy...the same goes for Litzau, Ward, Codrington, Dirrel, Salita, etc.

apparently, you dont know how the boxing world works.

you HAVE to start out fighting bums. its takes victories of around 20 bums until you get noticed or you have learned enough to step up ur level of competition. john duddy has only had 12 fights and you want him to start stepping up?

do you expect to turn pro as a middleweight and in ur first pro fight you get a shot at the world champion? do you expect to fight top 10 quality opposition when ur number of fights hasnt even reached the double digits?

yes, leon spinks did win the world HW championship in his 8th pro fight. but spinks was a gold medalist and ali was severely undertrained.

but getting recognition and getting big fights with big names takes something called "time".

duddy has 12 pro fights and is only on his 2nd year as a pro. 12-0 with 11 KOs, 8 in the 1st round. duddy has my attention, and he still needs to learn the ropes.

      but apparently, so do you.
