Making an offer doesn't mean he just gave them an offer with no discussion ala Pirog. Martinez already said in previous interviews there were negotiations and they were advanced and concrete. In every negotiation, offers are made back and forth. What Martinez is implicitly saying is that everything has been discussed and an offer with agreeable terms for parties has been made. But even then, Mayweather doesn't have to take it right away because he has to go through his other options. You know how Bob Arum gives Pacquiao various options and Pacquiao then chooses? The negotiations for those option have already been made, but they're still just offers until Pac says yes to one of them.

mayweather-martinez would surprise me. Still, it's a decent fight. Mayweather can take the lion's share, though i am surprised that al hayman would take the risk after what happened to paul williams.

Maybe this is the reason dibella is blowing off pirog? It could also explain dibella's sucking of floyd's balls everytime the name comes up.

BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!..Ortiz never said ANYTHING bad about Pacman..He even considered Floyd as "ONE of the best"..He never said he was the best...Martinez and his promoter know everything that go on behind the scenes....Dibella has a history with Mayweather..and Martinez simply does not respect Pacman like most die hard boxing fans!

I meant Ortiz's team was on Mayweather's balls not that he said something bad about Pac, his interview with Seckback (I think) when asked if he was fighting Mayweather he tried to divert the question and it was pretty obvious through his body language that he was at least close to securing a fight with Mayweather.

I doubt it, Mayweather's been selecting his opponents, fighting Martinez would be a step up in competition. He's taking a big gamble if the fight gets made and Floyd doesn't gamble his record, he doesn't want to let go of his "0". Floyd will never fight a real competition. So the chances of this fight getting done is "0" just like his record.
