How good is Sergio martinez?

One of boxings OVERRATED fighters.....Very good champion but having him in top 3 over someone like Mayweather? Sorry..I would not even have him over Dawson or Hopkins or Gamboa

i was exactly the same, he shot to fame with the SUPER KO of paul williams.but where has he been for the last 13 years? he drew with kermit cintron a class B fighter, and beat up a drunk kelly pavlik, im sorry no number 3 p4p for me! i knew barker would give him a good fight for 6 rounds.

he's good, but I don't know if he can look good against hof and atg level competition

Sergios a good fighter whos had a good run to get himself on the map and get himself known to the average boxing fan.

But its fighters who have been great for years who you can have more faith in.

Was he outboxed against Barker? See I thought that to outbox somebody, you have to actually throw punches.

Truth is Sergio is a excellant fighter who had a not real good night. But is not given enough credit on here. After he knocked out Williams everybody said "oh, well Williams wasn't that good anyway". Then he beat Dzinzuruk by boxing, then tearing him apart Everybody said "Well who is Dzinzuruk?" (previously ranked no.1 @154). Now people are mad that he wasn't great against Barker.
face facts, the guy is versatile, strong, fast, smart, durable, dynamic and exciting.
A great fighter for sure. You can't name many better guys in the sport right now imo.
His only trouble is that his time is running out(35) and he has no dancing partners.
