Dawson-Hopkins-just doesnt sit right with me

It took forever for them to fight, the buildup for the fight was probably mentally draining for both boxers. Why go through all that again? But don't blame Dawson, blame Hopkins for quitting, I don't care how much pain he was in, you don't quit. I mean how many boxers seriously get injured from being shoved from a clinch? The injury seems fishy, especially given Hopkins history of overreacting when he believes he was fouled

We also recently had the Cunningham-Hernandez fight getting stopped because of cuts to Hernandez that weren't even bleeding.

Boxing has been a bigger joke than usual recently.

If there is a rematch, it would have to be on ESPN or BAD. Nobody in their right state of mind would pay for this fight twice!

The reason there won't be a rematch is because Hopkins will need a lot of rehab to get back in the ring, as others have pointed out. Hopkins is almost certainly going to get his belt back because the result will be overturned.

Enough with the fixed fight crap people. There's a better chance Hopkins b*tched out than there is that the fight was staged to end this way.

Its absolute bull****.

There should be an immediate rematch. And im not talking any fight 4 months from now I mean within the month.

Find a location, the fighters havent taken too much damage in the fight (aside from Hopkins shoulder which shouldnt take too long to heal) and finish this on regular HBO.

There might be a rematch, but it probably would be on Showtime, maybe even CBS sportsline.

Haven't seen the fight myself, just highlights and it looks to me Bernard got his belt stolen from him. How do you toss a guy to the floor and score a TKO victory? If the fight had went the distance I'm not sure Bernard would have won but he definitely deserves a rematch. But if he chooses not to go for the rematch the dude should definitely retire!
