Comments Thread For: Sulaiman: It is Time For Bernard Hopkins To Retire

World Boxing Council president Don Jose Sulaiman says he is waiting to see the video of the WBC light heavyweight title fight in which “Bad” Chad Dawson stopped 46-year-old Bernard “The Executioner” Hopkins in the second round, after Hopkins was slammed to the canvas and couldn’t continue because of an injured left shoulder.

      WTF is this guy on.

Sam Warburton was sent off for that **** in the RWC, Dawson does it and he gets a TKO win!

****ing unbelievable. I hope someone low blows Dawson and gives him severe pain for the **** he pulled Saturday night.

Bernard has always been a slow starter. Suliaman is a parasite. All he knows is ways to maximize sanctioning fees from as many fighters in each weight division as possible. Perhaps he should create a belt for Hopkins. "Champion who has been robbed and should retire because he fought the way he's been fighting for 25 years and we haven't seen the fight" he could charge Bernard a yearly sanctioning fee and give him a guaranteed mandatory challenger position to the Klitchkos once he reaches his 50th birthday.

Sulaiman's opinion is garbage, similiar to the legitimacy of how he runs business. Hope this BS decision gets changed to a no decision. PS...Hopkins didn't look any different than normal. If anything, he seemed comfortable and he was keeping the fight at his rythme. BOXINGSCENE is my #1 site, but far too often the journalism is blatently biased and Sulaimanesque AKA "Garbage."

Sulaiman suggest B-Hop has been the victim of an injustice... and he says he should retire at the same time ? it doesn't make sense to me

Sulaiman hasn't seen the fight personally nor see it in video, and yet made a judgmental statement against Hopkins.

Let Hopkins decides for himself if he wants to hang up his glove or not.
