Roach pretty much told him to trade shots with Demarco after having won 8 out of 10 rounds. He did what he was told alright.

Linares needs to learn how to clinch. Don't know how great he will be but he puts on a show.

Freddie Roach had nothing to do with Linares' loss. Linares lost because he lost concentration and lacked discipline in a few key moments in the fight.

Linares was outclassing Demarco and was winning comfortably on every score card but he got into a short tear up in the sixth which led to the cuts, when there was no reason whatsoever to do so. And then he made the same mistake in a few other moments which led to the cuts getting worse.

He was trying to be macho and paid the price when he could have easily won with his boxing ability.

        This right here ^

Plus if anyone has seen Linares' fight before DeMarco, they would know his conditioning ****** major there. Here he looked really really good, just made a ****** mistake.

            I agree with the above.

Linares is one of those guys with all the skills in the world.

He just seems to be missing that something extra.

That something extra, I don't feel a trainer, any trainer can give him.

that's what i thought. linares was putting on a great performance. he got into an unnecessary firefight and got unlucky. linares had that fight in the bag.
