Why is/was Hopkins so afraid of Dawson?

i always wondered about this. and now it looks even if he gets his title back he wont fight dawson again...to me he knows he cant beat dawson for some reason

It would be hilarious & entertaining if Hopkins got his Title back, with a No Contest.

The entertaining part would be whether Chad would change his mind and start chasing a rematch. After all that's all he's got to legitimize himself.

No drawing power, no undefeated record to sell himself on, no position of power. A belt is all he's got.
