Byrd is not afraid of Wlad, proof for the haters

This is from an interview with Emanuel Steward regarding the Wlad-Byrd fight, and it backs up what I've been saying all along about Chris's fighting heart.

15Rounds: How do you feel about whether Chris will take this fight?

Steward: Chris is at the stage of his career that it is about money - it’s a business. I understand the last fight he only got $420,000 where Wlad was getting $1.6 million. And Wladimir wasn’t even fighting a title fight. Wladimir is able to draw in big crowds and get good ratings. I have to respect Chris, though, for what he has accomplished being so small in the heavyweight division. We knew from the beginning there would be a style problem with Chris’ last fight. Chris really wanted to fight Wladimir, but Don King and Wladimir couldn't get together. So he had to fight somebody - I thought it was Chris trying to dodge him but I found out later on it wasn't him. At that time no one knew that Wladimir was going to be like he was. They had actually made Chris a favorite over Wladimir.

Ill bet every point I have that Wlad beats Byrd and this is not coming for a WK fan.

Byrd is a shell of old self!

Byrd still could win. His style of a pawing jab with slaps and running all night is very effective. ALMOST as effective as Ruiz!

No doubt about it, Chris's skills have severly deterioated, and I would make Wlad a clear favorite in the fight.

I hope and wish the best for Chris but there is no denying that his career is almost over.

If anything Don King is the one who didnt want Byrd to fight Wlad, cause Byrd would most likely lose again and then that would mean that there would be another title holder that King doesnt own.

Trouble is ..... King owns fighters whose value is falling quickly, and he knows it. So, he's gotta' hold them close to at least to make some money.

Plus, he's very hopeful that fighters will come to him, to get those belts. Once their close, King has a way of being very persuasive.

Did I say something funny? If you don't believe me go and check out 15rounds.com, its on their front page.

When Wlad's trainer says that Byrd wanted the fight, I don't know how much more proof you need to know that Byrd is a warrior.

Only people who talk boxing on an internet forum, call Byrd a coward or *****. They never have nor ever will get into a boxing ring.
