If Chad really was dreaming of this fight, he must agree to a rematch. I'd fight on ESPN in his shoes. Does he want to? He complained about sacrificing 8 weeks for this. Ok. Is he still a fighter? Fighters have to get ready. He has plenty of time to spend with his family, as Bernard heals up. Using Bernard's age as an excuse was weak. He'll only be a few months older. If he doesn't see it as unfinished business, he didn't really want the fight, I think. He did not beat Bernard!

you know Hopkins is the greatest athlete over 40, ever, but last night he returned to the Hopkins of old with the excuses. Im glad Chad got the belt so that the division isnt stalled. we can look forward to Dawson/ Pascal. sucks for Cloud because Hopkins wont fight him. what a letdown. Hopkins should know this was a moment he really needed to give the fans something. im not saying the injury isnt for real, but to say you wanted to continue when you clearly were telling the ref you can't, and to blame Chad for being dirty when you are the dirtiest fighter in boxing just tells me everything i needed to know why Hopkins did not want any part of Dawson and his style earlier on.
