    Matt Skelton's team admit to limitations (McBride/Ruiz discussion)

    Eugene Maloney, Skelton's co-promoter, in the current issue of Boxing Monthly:

    "I'll be the first to say he's got no boxing skills. You can't teach him, he's too old in life. But he's got the biggest balls. He's so tough. Why do people laugh? We're not gonna put him in with [IBF] champ Chris Byrd, who would stand him on his head. But if you make the right fights, eventually he [Skelton] will bring that person down to his level. I don't care who you are, he will trap you and you've just gotta stand there and trade with him. And once you do that, Matt Skelton has a chance against anyone in the world."

    Having seen the last six of Skelton's 17 fights (16 KOs) I can confirm that he makes Ruiz looks like Muhammad Ali. Whether his leaning tactics will be allowed in different venues will remain to be seen, but his stamina looks to be extremely good for a heavy, and at the level he's faced, his chin more than stands up. You can always say a puncher will outdo him, but surely any heavy should make some form of dent? I've sent Skelton take shots and not even blink.

          Skelton has looked like a touch son of a *****. I hope he gets a title shot, hopefully against Ruiz.

              McBride being a champion is a joke...its not a slight possibility he just beat Tyson and hes been beaten by bums, so what if he beat a 40 yr old tyson...

              Skelton is a possibility..he should take on Ruiz. Brewster and Klitschko might expose him...

                  Sorry, dunno why anybody would be interested to read about the BIG ****heads of the boxing division.

                  Legend:
                  ****heads=bums
                  BIG=BIG

                    Oh, I'm not saying I disagree with you, but I know a lot of people are starting to get interested in Skelton (Stateside) as he's never been seen there and he's got a 17 (16 KO) record.

                    I post **** like this so it won't be as disappointing when you do actually get to see him.
