  • Rios vs. Demarco???

I know Marquez is the champ at 135, but he's on his way out. Rios has said that since Gamboa intends to move up in weight the next year, he will remain at 135 to get the fight with Gamboa. Gamboa won't be ready to fight Rios at 135 for at least probably a year or so. Would you like to see Brandon Rios fight newly crowned WBC Lightweight Champ Antonio Demarco???

Personally, I would like to see Rios fight Demarco in March 2012, than Guerrero in July 2012 (Guerrero will be back and ready by then), and than have a showdown with Gamboa at 135 in December. If he were able to make it through all those fights (it's a big IF), he will be viewed as one of the better fighters in boxing, and than he can move up to 140 in 2013 and hopefully 147 in 2013-2014.

Would you like to see Rios vs. Demarco???

Bam Bam would walk him down in typical fashion. Rios best competition is 140 and up.

Last night Demarco didn't really show any changes to his fighting style. He is still the same heavy handed boxer who fights like he is on medications. Rios stops him or makes him quit.

I agree Rios wins, but as long as Rios is staying at 135 (he said he will because Gamboa is moving up), he should fight better people than Murray. Demarco and Guerrero would be good fights for Rios. Probably the best opposition for him yet. Peterson and Antillon were good, but Guerrero can box and would pose a problem, and we all saw that Demarco is decent and knocked out Linares.

If Linares hadn't been KO'd, he was controlling the fight and I had him up by 5 points, I would have posted a Rios-Linares fight, but I just don't know about LInares. He showed heart, but again he was KO'd when he was forced to fight someone who was younger and still pretty good. Linares has tremendous skills, but the way Steward, Kellerman, and Lampley were talking about him, you would think he was the second coming of Jesus. The guy has skills, but I don't know if he has IT. Khan recovered from his Prescott loss, beat a prime Maidana and hung in there through the 10th round in that fight, survivded and moved on. We'll really see what Linares is made of in the next year or so.

I think Rios would KO Demarco, but I still would rather see him fight Demarco and Guerrero than Murray

DeMarco impressed me with the way he fought last night, but I still think Rios walks over him and stops him in the later rounds.

For the life of me i couldn't see Demarco beating Rios. Hes not knocking him out and hes not stopping him from getting in on that lean skinny body either. I would love to see that fight though.

The fight that I want to see is Rios vs Vazquez.
