Do you agree with the final ruling on the Hopkins-Dawson fight?

Let's see what the general consent is amongst the community.

I agree with the ruling because Hopkins JUMPED ON Dawson's back. Period. He jumped on him, tried to use his dirty tactics and Dawson let him know he wasn't going to tolerate it like other fighters have in the past. Hopkins can't win a fight without using dirty tactics.

IMO karma caught up with the dirtiest fighter in the sport. I'm happy with how things turned out. The stripping of his belt was just the icing on the cake for me. I was fine with what happened but I would have rather seen a normal fight with a non controversial outcome.

    That was a no-contest.

    Point blank.

i don't think what dawson did was really a foul. if the guy is gonna jump on your back you have the right to get him off. he didn't "slam" him like some have said. so if it's not a foul and hopkins can't continue, then yes, it's a tko.

No... In the event of an accidental injury where one fighter cannot continue, and 4 rounds have not elapsed, the bout is to be declared a No Contest.

I mean for real, take the time to read the rules.

Otherwise you would be able to accidentally headbut your way to a victory, but you cant.

And how is the ref supposed to know Bernard isnt faking? This way every fighter who isnt comfortable in the first 4 rounds can fake an injury and get a NC.

Bernard is known to fake injurys so he got what he deserved

It really isn't a refs job to determine if a fighter is faking an injury. If he appears hurt and can't continue because of an accidental foul it is either a nc or it goes to the score cards(depending on which round in which state).
