F**k Bernard Hopkins. I respect what he's been able to do in the ring, he's an ATG...but f**k Hopkins!!!

It should have been a NC, but Dawson didn't throw him down to end the fight, bulls**t! Hopkins was on top of Dawson and he threw him off.

I am in no position to say Hopkins was faking or not, but it sure as hell looked like he could have gotten up and fought. If Hopkins is the warrior he says he is, get the f**k up and fight. Dawson is right about that, but it shouldn't have been a TKO. It should have been a NC.

Hopkins looked like crap the first 2 rounds. Dawson didn't do anything big or spectacular, but I HAVE NO DOUBT he would have won the fight. Hopkins would school Dawson in his prime, but Bernard looked slow and unable to do anything. He would lead with a straight right that would miss, and than try to wrestle Dawson, and even attempted to climb on his back. Hopkins looked like crap.

Hopkisn could have continued.

Hopkins said he wanted to continue, listen to the tape on an HD feed not some ****ty stream. Throwing is against this rules, remember this is boxing not MMA. Hopkins looks bad at the beginning of most of his fights, he's a slow starter. Seriously what happened to this forum, these people know d.1/c/k about boxing.

What are you talking about? The commission will review the fight and call Dawson's move a foul, thus overturning the result and reinstating Hopkins as the champ.

Dawson clearly had his left glove behind Hopkins
right leg lifting him as he plowed him down.

By rules should have been a foul.

Also u don't injure the shoulder primarily by landing ON it

it can be injured in this case as all Hopkins weight

came crashing down on his elbow and that force went

proximal and anterior to the shoulder

perhaps tearing those ligaments.

An MRI will show.

In all honesty when he showed max comparing them

u could tell that shoulder had edema set in already.


Sucks for boxing.

There wasn't enough action to warrant anyone to be looking for a way out.

The plowing showed Dawson already was frustrated and lost his composure

in as quick as 4 mins in the ring with Hopkins.


Not a good sign for dawsons future.

His hand was behind his leg cause it was positioned that way when he ducked. If he picked up him he woulda been on Chad back. Replay clearly showed he pushed off with his shoulder and OLD Hopkins landed on his butt/back, then his elbow hit the canvas

1. Hopkins didn't quit, he told Max in the post fight interview that the referee asked him if he can continue, he replied "yes, I can", but he suffered a shoulder injury and the referee didn't allow him to continue with one arm.
2. That was a foul, so the result will be changed to a NC

AGREED. Hopkins will overturn this one, I'm 95% sure, it will end up being a NC.

Moron. There is no other word. B-Hop had no reason whatsoever to quit since Dawson was doing **** all and Bernard was his normal cagey self in the early rounds. Also, Dawson is a *****. Ultimately it doesn't matter that its a TKO since the ruling will probably be overturned and even if it isn't everyone who knows boxing will know it wasn't a TKO.

Dawson should be ****ing tortured to death... acting all proud wtf. And to people saying Hopkins quit are you ****ing ******? He was fighting his normal fight didn't look like he was struggling just feeling out as usual. Why would he train for that long then quit even though everything was fine? Also, landing on your elbow at that age when you can't prepare for it at all at a strange angle can jar your shoulder up. Hopkins did not quit - yes he has cheated in the past but not quit - especially given the circumstances. Dawson has always been a ***** with no heart what so ever but now I hate him even more.

I guess you didn't see the Robert Allen figth over 10 years ago. What a coincidence, Allen was pushing Hopkins around, and all of a sudden jumps out of the ring. He said he hurt his shoulder. Sound familiar?
