    Katowice, Poland - Rising Polish heavyweight prospect Artur Szpilka (8-0, 6KOs) stopped veteran Owen Beck (29-9, 20KOs) in three rounds. Beck took a beating and his corner would not allow him to come out for the fourth. Szpilka returns on November 5th at the Mohegan Sun, as part of the Mariusz Wach-Oliver McCall undercard.

      The only question is what Owen Beck was doing in the ring at this stage. Szpilka looks to me a heavyweight Vic Darchinyan, hopefully he proves to be as good.

          I hope so. He needs to stay away from trouble at football matches though.
