Comments Thread For: Audley: I Thought Haye Would Carry On, I Won't Retire!

Audley Harrison believes former two division champion David Haye "has time to come back" to boxing. Haye announced his retirement on Thursday - his 31st birthday - as he planned to do for the last two years. Harrison's last fight was a three round stoppage loss to Haye last November, but Audley plans to fight again. In July, Haye was dominated over twelve rounds by Wladimir Klitschko. Discussions to face older brother Vitali Klitschko fell apart before they began.

Well you should retire! I'm ready for a new generation of heavyweights. The Klitchkos have proven that they are far above the rest in this division. I've never liked them but they have earned my respect. They are the best of this era and would have been a serious problem in any other era. Its time for a young athletic and charismatic heavyweight to rise up and make this division exciting again.

If tyson fury gets himself into tip top shape with a few more fights he takes wladimir but the reason the klitschkos have been at the top for so long is that they see a threat and deal with it before the threat gets to dangerous for them, i was starting to respect wladimir but he's gone and blew it all with this next fight i dont even care if its a stay busy fight because it's a garbage fight.

Fury is nowhere near beating Wlad, and this Mormeck fight is all he could get. He's already cleared out most of the rest and the others don't want it, too busy sitting on BS belts like Povetkin.

True fighters are born to fight and face the best fighters in their divisions. Their are fighters that ducks good fighters in their division. Chicken Floyd Mayweather is a very good example of a fighter that chooses to retire instead of fighting good fighters. See what happened...news from a very reliable source broke few hours ago stating the Mayweather/Ortiz PPV only sold a mere 500K. Too embarrassing figure to be mentioned by HBO to the buying public. People are still waiting for HBO to reveal the true numbers because the public does not believe that the said fight would sell that much.

To be fair, I dont think Fury will ever pose a threat to a Klitschko. He always puts ona good fight and has a great heart but he seems to get hurt in every fight. It seems like only a matter of time before he gets kn****ed out.
