You obviously know nothing about Iron Mike. When he had Cus in his corner, he was the baddest man on the face of the earth. "That" Mike would have gone undefeated for a long, long time.

He was an extremely short dude though so he would struggle against the giants of the sport but p4p, he was one of the sickest heavyweights of all time.

tyson was no bum, he lost focus big time. He became a brawler with no headmovment whatsoever. When he first hit the scene he was all about head movement and explsoviness offense. And he had heart just watch the lewis fight he took his beating like a G point blank.

The easiest way to guage a strangers boxing IQ is have a 5 second conversation about Mike. The people claiming he would've been an indestructable force had he stayed with Rooney or Cus didnt die are just as delusional as those who claim hes overrated. Most people who had a decent grasp of that time in the sport realize he is both over and underated.

Was he ever better than Holy or Lennox, I dont think so. But, he cleaned out the mid to late 80s cast and would've made for awesome fights against the likes of Old George, Bowe, Morrison, Mercer, Moorer etc etc etc. Now that I think of it Tyson/Witherspoon would've been off the hook and given boths inconsistansies can see anything happening between the 2.

You have to respect Mike Tyson for being a boxing icon, if you don't appreciate him as a fighter, at least appreciate that Tyson is one of the most popular sports figures in the history of all sports. He's up there in popularity[not greatness, popularity] with Babe Ruth, Michael Jordan, Ali, Wayne Gretzky, Tiger Woods. It's no joke when some one who knows nothing about boxing at all, knows who Mike Tyson is. Actually there are people who don't even follow sports at all, but they will at least know who two boxers are...Muhammad Ali, and guess who else....Mike Tyson.
